ABOUT ROCHELLE

Rochelle's journey as an all-rounded musician all began with a toy keyboard. At four years old, Rochelle who loved playing temporarily paralysed her parents one day as they were returning home from church. They could not 'believe' that their little four year old daughter was playing complete music without no training whatsover.

Purely God-given, Rochelle has since then been playing as if she has twenty or thirty fingers registered on the piano to produce superb sounds of music. Although she is from a musical family, at least on her mom's side, she cant be considered to have been influenced by them. Her maternal family members are known to be highly gifted. Like Rochelle she has cousins and uncles who play just about any instrument from memory - no training. Her mother is a literal songbird. Still Rochelle is the only one whose gift as a musical savant was revealed when she was just four years old. She has only gotten better through the years.

What makes Rochelle, who has had two teachers, the last one in the past 15 years is that after a premature birth, she became blind, totally deaf in one ear, and slightly deaf in the other. She was diagnosed with 'retinapathy of prematurity'

'Jamaican by birth, Rochelle is truley a gift to humanity as she never stops smiling and influences others by her knack to stay calm and unruffled by any circumstance with her inner joy.

Owning a wide repertoire of music, the ability to play just about any instrument, the knack for reproducing any piece of m,usc or sound heard with her own welcomed expansions on chiefly the keyboard, Rochelle avails herself for a variety of events.
